These Terms govern your use of Second Spring, operated by Ardenholt LLC ("we", "us"). By using Second Spring, you agree to these Terms.
The service
Second Spring is software we provide as-is: a private, on-device tracker for perimenopause and menopause. We will work hard to keep it useful, but we offer no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, except where required by law.
Not medical advice
Second Spring provides tracking, education, and organization — not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment — and it is not a medical device. Always consult your clinician before starting, stopping, or changing any medication, dose, or treatment plan, and never disregard professional medical advice because of something in Second Spring. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately.
Your log, your responsibility
Your log lives on your device, protected by your device passcode and biometrics; we hold no copy (see Privacy). That design means you are responsible for your device security, your backups and exports, and for deciding who can access your log and its printed or exported copies. We cannot recover a log from a lost, wiped, or inaccessible device.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Second Spring to harm others or store data you have no right to hold.
- Don't attempt to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service except as permitted by law.
Payments & refunds
Where Second Spring charges (currently via Stripe), prices are shown before checkout. One-time purchases are non-refundable after 14 days. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused time except where required by law.
Auto-renewing subscriptions (Apple App Store)
If you purchase a subscription to Second Spring through Apple's App Store, the following terms apply, in addition to anything Apple requires:
- Length and title: Second Spring offers a Monthly auto-renewing subscription at $4.99/month and an Annual auto-renewing subscription at $39.99/year. Both include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers via Apple ID Introductory Offer.
- Free trial: You will not be charged during the 7-day free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions), no charge occurs. If you do not cancel, the subscription begins at the end of the trial at the rate above.
- Charging: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase (or, with a free trial, at the end of the trial period if not canceled).
- Auto-renewal: Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Renewal charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the rate disclosed at purchase.
- Managing & canceling: Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal turned off by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase. You cannot cancel the current period of a subscription, but a canceled subscription will not renew.
- Refunds: Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple per their policies — request via reportaproblem.apple.com.
- EULA: Use of Second Spring is subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Termination
You can stop using Second Spring at any time; your log is yours to export or delete on-device. We may suspend website services (like the waitlist) if we reasonably believe these Terms are being violated, with notice where feasible.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of Second Spring is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in that state.
Changes
If these Terms change materially, we'll update this page and the effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
